Jonathon Sommerfeld is a litigator whose civil litigation practice concentrates on the defense of municipalities, school districts, park districts, police and fire departments, railroads, and restaurants. He has meaningful experience in all stages of trial and appellate litigation. Jonathon is also a Certified Litigation Management Professional, a designation awarded by the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance through its Litigation Management Institute.

During law school at Loyola University Chicago, Jonathon worked as a law clerk for Schain Banks. He was also an award-winning oralist and captain of Loyola’s American Bar Association national moot court competition team, a teaching assistant for Property Law and Contract Law, and a research assistant to a distinguished law professor.

Jonathon is an Adjunct Law Professor at Loyola University Chicago School of Law where he is co-teaching a course titled “Appellate Advocacy Honors Seminar 598-001”.
