Stuart Kurtyka practices in our commercial litigation department. His concentrations include general commercial and business litigation, real estate litigation, evictions, and citation proceedings. Stuart has experience in handling contested court hearings and drafting and defending briefs at various stages.
Stuart previously gained litigation experience in Chicago handling insurance defense and personal injury matters, as well as matters involving auto and construction. He has participated in settlement negotiations, and arbitration hearings within Cook County.
Prior to joining Schain Banks, Stuart received an undergraduate degree in computer science from Indiana University. He then went on to work as a data analyst before attending law school. Stuart received the Dean’s Full-Tuition Merit Scholarship and graduated from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2022. He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and Chicago Bar Association.
