The Schain Banks team congratulates partner Rick Veenstra on his installation as President of the DuPage County Bar Association. Serving 2,600 members, the DCBA is the largest county-based bar association in the state, and the third largest by membership behind the Illinois State and Chicago Bar Associations. In addition to serving as DCBA President through next June, Rick was recently reappointed to the section council of the Illinois State Bar Association’s Local Government Section.
Rick is an integral part of the Schain Banks municipal practice group including serving as the corporation counsel of the City of Aurora, a role that he had previously held in an in-house capacity since 2017. Prior to that, Rick was an assistant state’s attorney in DuPage County for nearly 13 years, including 7 overseeing that office’s governmental representation and special litigation division.
